Q. Can I buy a pattern from you?

A. No, sorry. We spend lots of money buying original items to make our patterns from to ensure the accuracy of our products. We sell uniforms and equipment, not patterns. If you want to buy a uniform or equipment, we would be more than happy to accomodate you. If you want a pattern, sorry but you are out of luck.

Q. Do you have a catalog?

A. No, we do not. We are still a pretty small operation here. There are only two people running the whole show. If you can't get onto a computer, try using the library or have a friend print out the stuff you are interested in. You can always call us if you have any questions too.

Q. Can you tell me how much my "insert original item here" is worth?

A. If you want to trade, we can do that and we will give you a fair trade. If you want an appraisal of your item, we suggest you contact Jeff at Advance Guard Militaria.

Q. How do I know what sizes to send for a uniform?

A. Click here for the size chart. You can either email in the sizes or snail mail them in. Our address is on the Ordering Information page.


Q. Do you do lay-a-way?

A. No, sorry. We offer plenty of ways to purchase the items you want. You can use money orders, credit cards, Paypal, etc.

Q. Is "insert item here" in stock?

A. All items are in stock unless otherwise noted.

Q. How soon can I get my stuff?

A. We try and ship the day after the order is received. We usually ship via USPS Priority Insured mail. USPS Priority usually takes 3-5 days for receipt for domestic shipments. International shipments are generally shipped USPS International Priority and that typically takes 7-10 days for receipt. That depends, of course, on the local postal service. Delivery confirmation is added free of charge to domestic shipments.

Q. Where will you ship?

A. We will ship pretty much anywhere except China and Nigeria.

Q. When will "insert item here" be ready to order?

A. Check the main page. That is the best place to get up-to-date information.

Q. What is your return policy?

A. We provide the size chart for the measurements needed to custom make the uniforms. If you do not provide accurate measurements and your tunic or trousers do not fit, it is not Schipperfabrik's responsibility to make it right. If the error is our fault and returned within three days, we are more than happy to make it right.

Q. What is your refund policy?

A. All returns must be made within three days of receipt. All returns must be in unused condition. All sized items such as caps, shirts, helmets, stock clothing items (tunics, trousers, etc) and belts require a size to be stated. If the size you provided and received does not fit, you may return it along with return postage and may be subject to a 15% restocking fee. All refunds will be made in the form of a check.

Q. How long does it take to get a custom made uniform?

A. Normal delivery time for a custom made uniform is approximately 12 weeks.

Q. Can I buy your wool?

A. No. Sorry. We make uniforms, we do not sell our wool.  Period.

Q. How do I wash my shirt, tunic, trousers, puttees, etc.?

A. We suggest you dryclean EVERYTHING.

Q. Can I make payments or do you finance?

A. No. Absolutley not. We accept pretty much every kind of credit card available. We accept trades, but we are not a financial institution.

Q. I bought "insert item here" from you a year ago.  I have never used it, can I return if for something else?

A. No. Our return policy is 3 days.

Q. I live outside of the U.S. and I used the checkout on your website. Am I going to be charged additional postage?

A. Possibly. The answer depends on the item(s) purchased. Gasmasks, helmets, other heavy items will certainly be more than what you were charged at checkout. We will email you when your order is boxed up so that we can weigh it and have a more accurate idea of what postage will cost.
