Beautiful reproduction of the WW1 German Y straps.  Also used in WW2.  Our reproduction is made from the finest quality brown leather and features the same NOS hardware as used on our 1895 furpacks.  These are sized to fit most and should fit up to XL with no difficulty.  In WW1 Y straps were originally worn only by the Cavalry. It was planned that in the Infantry the belt was to be held up by the 1895 pack.  As the war progressed Y straps were more widely issued and were worn by Pioneers, Storm Troopers and Assault Troops.

They are XL and fit up to a 48" chest. They are 3' long in the front and 2' long in the back.

The military cartridge belt with a buckle bearing the inscription "Gott Mit Uns" (God is With Us) was a long-standing symbol of the Prussian Army. The Koppel was worn by itself or with varying amounts of equipment hung on it.

The Koppel was issued in varying sizes. Minor size adjustments to the belt (for when wearing the greatcoat, etc.) could be made by moving the buckle along the strap sewn to the inside of the belt. Buy the set and save!!

Most German Army units wore brown leather equipment before 1916.  Exceptions were Fusilier, Jaeger and Shutzen Regts which following the European tranditions of Rifle Regiments wore black. Our reproduction Brown 4" Luger P-08 holsters are ideal for that pre 1916 look or as WW2 Luftwaffe. The Black holsters are perfect for latter WW1 as well as WW2 German Army and SS. Gas masks became standard issue to German troops in August 1915. There were different patterns, the early first pattern was made of rubberized canvas and was called the "Gummimaske." Our gummimaske comes with the mask, 2 filters and carrying bag.

Each German Soldier was issued an Eßbesteck, a combination folding spoon/fork. This handy item is usually stored in between the lid and body of the Kochgeschirr (messkit ). This is our perfect replica. Identical in every way to the original, ours is even maker-marked HPS 1914.

The Zeltbahn is one half of a small tent, consisting of a square-shaped piece of canvas with 32 opposing pairs of buttons. The Zelt also has small cord loops sewn onto it, through which the tent ropd in two different colors -- ochre and grey. At the start of the Great War, Zelts were of a dark ochre color. Wartime zelts varied wildly in color from a dirty white grey to light green. Our present batch are grey/green in color.  Although we suggest a good coating of Camp Dry to these, our zelts are made from tightly woven waterproofed material. They are nice when it rains. We are now offering brown and gray color zelts.
