Paul has been collecting British Militaria since1982 with a special passion for the 1939-1940 era. This is the reproduction of the initial P'37 entrenching tool carrier for the Lineman pattern (German style) shovels as were initially planned for the 1937 web equipment and issued to the BEF. As used in 1937-1941. This is THE proper shovel carrier for the Battle of France. Absolutely stunning! As always....based on the 6 originals we have in our collection.

P'37 Entrenching Tool Carrier (Type 3)

This is the improved model of etool carrier for the reissued P'08 2-piece etool. As a cost cutting measure the British reverted to the P'08 entrenching tool in 1941. (There were still millions in storage of course) Since the webbing had changed from P'08 to P'37, the P'08 carrier had to be changed to fit the P'37 web. This is the second model (mid-war) (often called the airborne model) with the added strap to keep the stick from falling out. Beautiful reproduction based on an unissued original Paul has had over 20 years!!
